No! NcFTPd is designed to
work with any RFC 959 compliant FTP client program. This means that there are dozens if not hundreds of client
programs you can use, on a wide variety of platforms.
Binary compatibility problems among
different versions of the Alpha are the culprit. Specifically, our main Alphalinux box is running a
“alphaev56” CPU, but binaries generated by this CPU aren’t compatible with
older Alphas. There just isn’t
enough demand for this platform to justify a port anyway.
An OpenBSD/x86 port is on the To-Do

There are also some issues involving OpenBSD’s different password
authentication mechanisms which will need to be resolved.
Until then, some daring users have experimented with using the BSD/OS or
FreeBSD version of NcFTPd in emulation on their OpenBSD host, but be
warned that this is not a supported nor tested configuration!
